Summary

The Account Manager will be responsible for managing relationships between Manhattan Associates and its clients and prospects. They will develop and expand relationships at all levels.

They are responsible for identifying, developing, and closing opportunities for Manhattan Associates' software products and services.

Essential duties and responsibilities

Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  1. Develop and execute strategic and tactical account plans and roadmaps for assigned accounts and prospects.
  2. Analyze and understand the account power map, developing relationships at all levels, including executive management.
  3. Identify new potential areas of development and sales opportunities within the account.
  4. Work closely with PSO and CSO teams to leverage existing work and propose new and innovative service offers.
  5. Support Manhattan Associates Services teams in customer management.
  6. Build and develop relationships with potential partners.
  7. Opportunity qualification within new and existing clients.
  8. Understand and articulate the value proposition of Manhattan products and services.
  9. Understand competitor offerings and positioning; differentiate Manhattan products and services accordingly.
  10. Ensure customer referenceability for sales and marketing efforts.
  11. Participate in the Manhattan Associates customer community.
  12. Negotiate and close contracts.
  13. Demonstrate understanding of key account management processes.
  14. Follow corporate sales methodologies and processes.

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

Education / Experience

Experience in sales account management or project management within a technology-led supply chain solutions business or consulting services organization.

Desirable: a master's degree in engineering, business, supply chain management, or related fields.

Internal candidates should demonstrate client management in demanding project roles.

Results-oriented with a quarterly target-driven culture.

Comfortable dealing at the executive level in Tier 1 organizations.

Proactive and highly motivated.

Experience maintaining sales and client information on CRM platforms.
