FACULTY POSITION

We are looking to recruiteither:

• A candidate with astrong academic research profile in Innovation and Innovation Management, capable of publishing in top-tier journals and contributing to the school’s international research visibility;
  or
• A candidate with astrong pedagogical profile, experienced inaction learning,experiential education, andreal-world project-based teaching;
  or
• Ahybrid profile,demonstrating excellence in both dimensions.

YOUR ROLE AT EMLYON

The selected candidate will be attached and collaborate with our existing team of professors and researchers in the Department of Entrepreneurship and Innovation and in the InvEnt Research Centre (https://sites-wordpress.em-lyon.com/invent/) to grow and extend our research and teaching in Innovation and Innovation Management. We embrace different research approaches and methods with a keen focus on quality in research. The Entrepreneurship and Innovation department is home to 28 scholars with diverse backgrounds and interests in Entrepreneurship and Innovation. The department aims at high quality research, as reflected in its publication record in A-level journals (e.g., ETP, JBV, SEJ, JMS, JoM, SMJ, Research Policy). Tight connections with different kinds of organizations provide opportunities for research and engaged scholarship.

He/She will contributing to:

• Cutting-edge research in their area of expertise;
• The development and delivery ofinnovative, action-based learning experiences, closely tied to the professional ecosystem (corporates, startups, NGOs, etc.).

Teaching opportunities will be mostly at the undergraduate level (BBA), graduate level (Programme Grande Ecole) and the master's level. Responsibilities for this position include capabilities to design and manage courses in the areas of Management of Technology and Innovation, Corporate Entrepreneurship and Innovation for Sustainable Business.

Teaching responsibilities include undergraduate (BBA), graduate (Programme Grande École), and master's level programs.

Most courses will be taught on theLyon campus, with possible sessions on other emlyon campuses in France or internationally.

• Ph.D. inInnovation, Entrepreneurshipor a related discipline
• Proven publication record (or high potential) in top-tier journals (e.g., FT list)
• Ability to supervise doctoral students and collaborate on funded research projects
• Interest in pedagogical innovation and contribution to program development

2. Teaching-Oriented Profile

• Experience inproject-based pedagogy, live business cases, corporate challenges, or learning-by-doing models
• Strong connections with business or institutional partners
• Ability to design and coordinate courses with a high level of engagement and applied learning
• Willingness to contribute to the strategic positioning of action learning within the school

3. Hybrid Profile

• Balanced expertise in both research and pedagogical innovation
• Ability to create synergies between research, teaching, and practice
• Interest in making academic knowledge actionable in the classroom and beyond

Additional Requirements

• Desire to work in a collaborative, international environment
• Capacity for institutional service (program management, curriculum design, external representation)
• Fluency in English required; knowledge of French is a plus but not mandatory
• Willingness to relocate toLyon or surrounding area(relocation support provided)

The candidate will be expected to contribute to and will be regularly evaluated based on three areas of activities: (1) research performance, (2) teaching and student supervision, and (3) institutional service (e.g., administration, service in committees, representation of the school in the media and events).
