As a key member of our leadership team you will drive the technical vision and strategy for building innovative solutions that enable business customers to efficiently research discover and purchase business industrial and scientific products across vast catalogs. Your expertise will be crucial in developing seamless experiences across multiple devices marketplaces and regions.

This senior position requires a visionary leader who can balance strategic thinking with hands-on technical leadership. Youll be at the forefront of solving complex challenges for a diverse client base - from individual professionals to large institutions - whose needs significantly differ from those of traditional Amazon customers.

In this role youll have the opportunity to make a substantial impact on Amazons fastest-growing segment leading a team thats expanding even more rapidly than Amazons overall impressive growth. Your leadership will be pivotal in driving innovation scaling our operations and ultimately transforming B2B commerce on a global scale.

Key job responsibilities

• Hire mentor and lead software development managers.
• Lead design implementation and deployment of successful highly distributed large scale services.
• Play a critical role in the broad business planning working closely with senior executives to develop business targets and resource requirements.
• Help form long-term technical and business strategy and goals.
• Understand business context to decisions made within and across groups.
• Work closely with the engineers to architect and develop the best technical design and approach. Be a hands-on technical leader and contributor.
• Maintain a current understanding of industry and technology trends.
• Work with globally distributed team.

• Extensive experience in software engineering
• Significant experience in engineering team management
• Substantial experience in planning designing developing and delivering consumer software
• Experience partnering with product or program management teams
• Experience managing multiple concurrent programs projects and development teams in an Agile environment
• Experience designing and developing large scale high-traffic applications
