As a Junior Accountant, your mission will be to contribute to the financial health and accuracy of our operations, as well as compliance with accounting principles and regulations, but also ensuring the integrity of accounting information by recording, verifying, consolidating, and entering transactions for several local subsidiaries of the Group.

Your main responsibilities will be:

• Check, post and pay incoming vendor invoices.
• Issue outgoing invoices (national and international).
• Reconcile accounts and meticulously maintain a complete and accurate general ledger in strict adherence to accounting principles and reporting schedules.
• Provide essential support for the monthly accounting pre-closure activities, ensuring accuracy and completeness for final reporting.
• Create and modify master data as required, contributing to efficient and effective financial data management in SAP Fi. Analytical accounting in SAP, with the use of the different cost objects used in SAP, WBS elements, statistical orders, cost centers.
• Keep vendor data updated in the general ledger.
• Correct documentation and storage of all payment supporting documents.
• Weekly expense administration: check correct posting in the general ledger and arrange for payments.
• Monthly monitoring and reconciliation of bank account balances.
• Inter-company balance reconciliation.
• Support our tax expert with correct reporting and payment of Spanish taxes as well as preparing tax declarations and SII.
• Ensure both the Accounting manuals and guidelines are updated.
• Actively participate in the Company's audit process, taking responsibility for preparing and thoroughly reviewing the information required by auditors and preparation of the annual accounts.
• Support Financial & Controlling Manger in day-to-day professional duties.

Your profile:

• Bachelor´s degree in Administration, Finance or Accounting, preferably with professional experience in accounting.
• Ideally 2 years of professional experience in accounting departments within the renewable energy sector.
• Expertise in MS-Office, particularly Excel, and in SAP tools.
• Analytical skills and accuracy in dealing with figures.
• Strong communication skills and team spirit.
• Excellent English skills (spoken and written).
• Residence in Madrid.
• Interest for the renewable energy transition.
