Job Summary : We are seeking a talented DBA Specialist, preferably with experience in cloud-deployed database services, to be the first point of contact for data-related requests. Responsibilities include managing database structures, extracting data for reporting, monitoring performance, ensuring database resilience and security, and participating in system administration tasks within our Infrastructure Team. Experience with PostgreSQL and AWS is preferred, along with familiarity with Kubernetes, Lambda, ELK stack, Linux, Infrastructure as Code (Terraform), automation, and scripting languages.

Responsibilities :

• Design, deploy, administer, and optimize PostgreSQL databases, including installation, configuration, backup, recovery, performance tuning, and security management.
• Troubleshoot and resolve database and infrastructure issues promptly to minimize impact on production.
• Monitor system performance, availability, and reliability; proactively address issues to ensure optimal uptime.
• Collaborate with development teams to optimize database schemas and queries for performance and scalability.
• Implement security best practices and compliance standards.
• Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in database administration, cloud computing, and related areas.

Minimum Requirements :

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• At least 5 years of experience as a DBA, preferably in cloud environments.
• Proficiency in PostgreSQL database administration.
• Knowledge of database security, encryption, access control, and auditing.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, and familiarity with AWS.
• Scripting skills in Python, Bash, or PowerShell are advantageous.
• Excellent command of English, both verbal and written.
