• Design, implement, and operate new features and services for the Commerce Platform
• Improve knowledge of scalable distributed systems to enhance platform capabilities
• Collaborate with product teams to define technical work and understand requirements
• Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues while improving troubleshooting procedures
• Execute the full software development life cycle (SDLC), including documentation and maintenance of software functionality

• 4+ years of experience building highly scalable products
• 4+ years of programming experience in an object-oriented language (Java or similar)
• Expert knowledge in Object-Oriented Programming with a successful track record
• Experience contributing to the architecture and design of new and current systems
• Degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent work experience

• Experience with on-call support for mission-critical customer systems
• Proficient in Linux and containerization with Kubernetes
• Experience optimizing and debugging complex SQL queries
• Familiarity with gRPC, Python, Typescript, React, and Apache Kafka
• Good debugging skills on production systems
