We are seeking a passionate and talented individual to join as a Country Procurement Buyer. This role involves deploying effective Category Management Strategies at the country level, collaborating with Category Managers at the Head Office and Africa Strategic Business Unit, and identifying local sourcing opportunities to optimize business performance.

• Mapping and assessing local sourcing to inform and enhance Category Management Strategy.
• Ensuring efficient deployment of Category Management Strategies as the main point of contact with suppliers during execution.
• Managing local purchases outside of Category Management, including scouting, tendering, contracting, and supplier relationship management.
• Overseeing Material TCO and budgeting.
• Managing Supplier Relationships, including performance monitoring via KPIs, service levels, and risk management.
• Vendor homologation and master data management in ERP for all categories at the country level.
• Driving efficiency projects.
• Managing the execution of innovation initiatives.

Ideal educational background, experience, and language skills:

• University degree or engineering diploma.
• At least 5 years of experience in a similar procurement role within direct materials, preferably in international markets and multinational companies, with experience in imports management.
• Fluent in English and French.
• Valuable knowledge in packaging.
