Laboratory Assistant at Nanobioengineering the Research Group Unit

The Nanobioengineering Group is seeking a Laboratory Assistant to perform technical analysis on the blood-brain barrier-on-a-chip (BBB-oC) in vitro model developed by the group. The contract is part of the "Plan Complementario de Biotecnología aplicada a la Salud," aimed at promoting high throughput screening projects to accelerate drug discovery.

Main Tasks and Responsibilities

The Laboratory Assistant will support standardized tasks including :

• Production of microfluidic devices
• Cell culture and characterization
• Permeability assays
• Data acquisition and processing
• Degree in Chemistry, Biology, or related disciplines
• Previous laboratory experience
• Experience in cell culture
• Experience with imaging techniques (epifluorescence / confocal microscopy)
• Ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary and international teams
• Strong communication, teamwork, proactivity, commitment, critical and analytical thinking skills
• Proficiency in English

Advantageous Skills

• Multidisciplinary qualifications and knowledge of microfluidics
