For our office in Madrid Aquila Capital is seeking an Accountant (f / m / d).

Your Responsibilities

• General accounting and bookkeeping.
• Management of monthly journal entries, provisions, and depreciations.
• Reconciliation of accounts : Banks, AP / AR, intercompany figures, etc.
• Reviewing the accuracy of the accounting books and financial statements and being responsible for accurate and timely submissions of monthly-basis financial reports.
• Management of supporting documentation for accounting entries and supporting files.
• Preparation of Annual Financial Statements and Official Books.
• Support the audit of audited entities.
• Preparation of tax compliance forms (VAT declarations, CIT / Mod 22, etc.).
• Coordination of external providers (e.g. auditors, lawyers, banks).
• Management of analytical accounting : working with coding trees and budgeting items.
• Management of Invoices Payables’ process (reception of invoices, incorporation of invoices in the workflow IT tool, signature of the invoices by the Head of each department).

Key Requirements

• Degree in Accounting, Business Administration and Management, Economics or similar.
• 3-4 years of professional experience in the field of auditing, acquired e.g. at an accounting firm (Big Four), corporate finance consultancy and / or investment fund. Knowledge of taxation and IFRS is a plus.
• Strong analytical skills and a very good understanding of numbers.
• Responsible and organized person, being able to manage workloads, prioritize tasks and work through strict deadlines.
• Precise and reliable working method coupled with high autonomy, implementation strength and flexibility.
• Eager to join a growing and ambitious long-term project.
• Very good knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel.
• Languages : fluent English and Spanish. German, an asset.
