A leading animation studio in Madrid is seeking a motivated Technical Artist Support trainee. In this paid on-site internship, you will assist departments in solving technical issues, gaining hands-on experience in 3D animation processes. Ideal applicants are detail-oriented self-starters with a strong artistic aptitude and knowledge of 3D software. Knowledge of English is required, and Spanish is desirable.

Formación

• Strong artistic or technical aptitude related to 3D animation is a must.

• Self-starter with proficient writing skills and attention to detail.

Skydance Animation Madrid is looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Technical Artist Support trainee to join our studio. As a Technical Artist Support trainee, you will be responsible for helping its assigned departments to solve basic technical issues.

Our Internship Program offers its own unique learning opportunities. You will have the chance to network and meet with Skydance leaders, learn transferable skills, and gain real-world experience. It is an experience ideal for those moving from the classroom to the industry.

This is a paid internship that will be held on-site.

Responsibilities

• Fix the issues in the assigned scenes.
• Help artists to solve simple bugs.
• Review Pending Tickets.
• Assist artists when issues arise in the day-to-day processes of the department – e.g. Creating work scenes, publishing work, preparing renders for dailies, etc.
• Test libraries such as Houdini's HDAs and prototypes.
• Updating basic documentation. Review and update the technical documentation related to the workflows and tools of the department that they support.
• Attend technical meetings as requested, to keep trained and updated in the new studio / department tools, pipelines, workflows, etc.
• Keeps up on current artistic methodologies and on technology trends and tools that best suit the production and the company in the development of a stronger creative and technical environment.
• Follows the tutor´s guidance.

Requirements

• Strong artistic or / and technical aptitude related to 3D animation is a must.
• Experience in any 3D animation Software (Maya, Max, or Houdini).
• Must be available for at least 3 months onsite (from Monday until Friday, 35h / week).
• Must be currently enrolled in your last year in an Associate, Bachelor, or Master\'s program at an accredited institution.
• Self-starter with proficient writing and critical thinking skills, attention to detail, and ability to multi-task.
• Highly motivated and interested in Animation and Technology.
• Good team player
• High English level.
• Spanish desirable.
