A global logistics company is looking for a tax professional in Comunidad de Madrid to ensure compliance with local tax regulations and provide guidance on tax matters. The ideal candidate has an advanced degree in taxation or law and experience in the logistics industry. Responsibilities include leading tax projects and collaborating with various departments. Formación

  • Advanced degree or professional qualification in taxation or law is preferred.
  • Prior internship or full-time experience required; consulting experience is preferred.
  • Solid understanding of European tax frameworks and regulations.

Responsibilities
  1. Ensure all entities and business operations in the relevant regions comply with local tax regulations, including corporate income tax, indirect tax, transfer pricing, and withholding tax.
  2. Lead and support advisory projects related to direct and indirect taxes, and provide day-to-day tax guidance on business activities.
  3. Offer tax solutions and planning support for new product development, new business initiatives, and market expansion (covering invoicing, tax calculation, compliance, cost structure, etc.). Collaborate closely with Legal, Finance, HR, and business teams to provide constructive, business-driven recommendations.
  4. Oversee tax-related statutory disclosures and lead tax return preparation, filing, and issue analysis during statutory audit processes.
  5. Work jointly with the Group Transfer Pricing team to ensure the design and execution of related-party transactions fully comply with local regulations.
  6. Optimize internal compliance processes and strengthen collaboration with external advisors to ensure timely and accurate tax compliance.
  7. Communicate directly with overseas tax authorities when needed (e.g., during tax audits, investigations, or disputes) to resolve issues and mitigate tax risks.
  8. Continuously monitor and analyze local tax legislation and regulatory developments, and communicate insights to management.
Requirements
  1. Advanced degree or professional qualification in taxation or law is preferred.
  2. Prior internship or full-time experience required; candidates with both in-house and consulting / firm experience are preferred. Logistics industry experience is a strong plus.
  3. Solid understanding of European tax frameworks, regulations, and work processes.
  4. Strong commercial awareness and problem-solving capabilities.
  5. Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills in English.
  6. Proactive, able to meet deadlines under pressure, and capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
