About the Graduate Career Program

The Data & AI Graduate Career Program is instrumental for Group IT in building up our brand-new Global Data & AI Hub and opens up a world of possibilities for your future career development across Symrise worldwide. We offer numerous opportunities for young talents who want to make a difference with us. Program participants can choose from a range of technology-driven roles in business analysis, data architecture, technical product management, quality assurance, data science, data & AI engineering, software development, DevOps or information and digital security.

The Graduate Career Program is designed to develop your technology skills and knowledge in data and artificial intelligence, accelerate your learning and growth through access to real-world projects for challenging business problems, and innovate our practices and methodologies through multidisciplinary teams and an agile approach to product development.

The Business Analyst, Data Architect, and Technical Product Manager on the Scrum team will analyze the problem, break it into manageable components, and define clear acceptance criteria. They work closely with Quality Engineers who establish acceptance criteria to validate the functionality and quality of the solution, ensuring that all requirements are well documented and testable. Data Scientists, Data and AI Engineers, Software Developers, and DevOps Engineers will design, build, and integrate models or algorithms into our business processes to ensure the solution is scalable, efficient, and can be deployed seamlessly.

We use programming languages such as SQL, Python, R, and JavaScript on platforms including Shiny, Databricks, Azure, GCP, Mendix, UIPath, and K8S. As a core member of one of five product teams, you will work closely with colleagues from multiple functions to develop new ideas that help solve challenging business problems, accelerate the company's digital transformation, and innovate digital applications and data-driven ways of working for a modern and secure digital environment.

What we are looking for

The Global Data & AI Graduate Career Program focuses on the professional development of recent graduates and is best suited for talented, curious, and creative minds, who aspire to make a real difference early in their career and innovate digital applications and data-driven ways of working at Symrise.

• A master’s degree from an accredited university in Data Science, Informatics or Computational Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Cybersecurity or a related information technology discipline with an above-average academic performance or anticipated graduation before September 2025
• A maximum of two years of experience prior to starting the program through internships, studies abroad and/or practical working experience after successful graduation
• Initial experience working with large data sets, data analytics or AI tools, developing apps or software, and/or agile/Scrum methodologies is a plus
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with colleagues across the organization
• High level of motivation and determination, demonstrated learning agility and genuine curiosity about a new idea or concept
• Proactive, driven attitude and ability to thrive in a fast-paced corporate environment
• Advanced English language skills at CEFR proficiency level C1/TOEFL score 95 or higher
