The Institute of Chemical Research of Catalonia (ICIQ) is seeking a Support Technician. This position is part of the Convocatòria 2025 dels ajuts d'Indústria del Coneixement: Modalitat A. Ajuts Llavor per a projectes innovadors amb potencial d'incorporació al sector productiu, with reference 2025 LLAV 00115. This project has the support of el Departament de Recerca i Universitats de la Generalitat de Catalunya.

ICIQ is looking for a Support Technician to work in the group of Prof. Beatriz Prieto.
Requirements
- Bachelor and Master studies in the field of nanotechnology, chemistry, materials science or a related discipline, combined with demonstrated research experience in electrochemical biosensing and micro/nanofabrication;
- Sound knowledge and expertise in surface analysis;
- High level written communication and presentation skills, as well as demonstrated experience in producing high quality technical and scientific documentation independently for dissemination to audiences of both experts and laypersons;
- High level interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively with research colleagues and external associates in a multidisciplinary environment.

- The candidate has to be highly motivated and used to work collaboratively.
We offer:
- A full-time employment contract linked to the project Exosense (AGAUR project Ref 2025 LLAV 00115) with an estimated end date of 6 months from the start of the project.
- Remuneration according to the Institute salary scales.
- Annual salary split into twelve monthly payments.

Selection Process
ICIQ’s selection process usually entails the following phases:
- Pre-selection: The pre-selection process will be based on qualifications and expertise as reflected on the candidates’ CVs. This phase is merit-based.
- Interview: Preselected candidates will be interviewed by the Hiring Manager of the position and the appointed Selection Committee.
- Offer Letter: Once the successful candidate is selected, the People Unit will extend a Job Offer, specifying the start day, salary and overall job conditions.
