A global education organization is seeking a dynamic public speaking and debate Leader for summer camps in Cádiz. The ideal candidate will engage students aged 10+, delivering lessons and fostering critical thinking in a supportive environment. With a contract from 26th June to 2nd August 2025, a weekly gross wage starting at €550 is offered, along with potential room and board for additional responsibilities.

ROLE SUMMARY:

Sotogrande International School is seeking a dynamic and passionate public speaking and debate Leader to assume this role for our Summer Camps in Sotogrande. The successful candidate will be responsible for both supervising and delivering a comprehensive two-week programme aimed at students aged 10 and above, fostering their skills in public speaking, debate, and critical thinking within an enjoyable and supportive learning environment.

In addition to this, the candidate might carry out other tasks in camp, including arrivals and departures day. More information will be provided before camp starts.

Hours of work

Public Speaking and Debate will be from Monday to Friday, except for Wednesday (excursion day). The set times will be determined once the group is assigned. For the right candidate, we would consider the possibility of combining these duties with other residential tasks. If that was the case, free room and board would be provided.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Curriculum Delivery: Create and deliver engaging lessons on public speaking and debate, adapting content to meet students' needs. Supervise teachers and ensure resources are saved for future use.
• Program Planning: Collaborate with teachers to organize camp schedules and ensure learning outcomes are communicated to parents.
• Student Engagement: Foster a positive, inclusive environment, encourage student participation, and support evening activities.
• Debating and Public Speaking: Guide teachers in facilitating debates and exercises, and create a final showcase for students' skills.
• Collaboration: Work with camp staff to ensure a safe, engaging environment and provide training and support to colleagues.
• General Staff Duties: Adhere to camp guidelines, maintain professionalism, and handle camper behavior and discipline.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

• Degree in Law, International Relations, or related field.
• Background in debate/public speaking and experience with children.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in high-stress environments.

• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to manage children effectively.
• Ability to handle high-pressure situations and adapt quickly.
• Positive, energetic, and a team player.

• Valid EU work permit, CV with photo, criminal record (recent), and copies of degrees/certificates.

• Contract from 26th June to 2nd August 2025 (including training).
