A leading payment solutions provider is looking for a Solutions Architect in Madrid to lead solution architecture, design, and implementation. The ideal candidate has 5-8 years of IT experience, expertise in cloud platforms, and excellent stakeholder management skills. As part of the solutions team, you will be responsible for leading the design and implementation of end-to-end solutions that address complex business requirements. Collaborate with stakeholders across functions to define solution roadmaps, integrate systems, and ensure alignment with enterprise strategy.

What You'll Do :

• Lead the development of comprehensive solution architectures for new products, services, and major enhancements.
• Engage with business analysts, project managers, and product owners to translate requirements into scalable, cost-effective solutions.
• Apply industry best practices and architecture frameworks to ensure consistency and governance.
• Evaluate and select technologies, platforms, and third-party components to meet functional and non-functional requirements.
• Define integration patterns, data flows, and API strategies to connect microservices, legacy systems, and external partners.
• Create and maintain detailed architecture artifacts : diagrams, design documents, solution blueprints, and decision logs.
• Drive proofs-of-concept and pilot implementations to validate architectural choices.
• Ensure solutions adhere to security, compliance, performance, and reliability standards.
• Participate in pre-sales and RFP activities, presenting architecture proposals and high-level estimates.

What We're Looking For :

Deep expertise with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform).

Proficiency in microservices architecture, serverless computing, containerization and CI / CD pipelines.

Strong understanding of enterprise integration patterns, messaging systems, and API management.

Familiarity with identity and access management and security best practices.

Knowledge of both SQL and NoSQL databases and data streaming technologies.

Hands-on experience with architecture modeling tools and UML / ArchiMate.

Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.

Proven ability to balance technical excellence with business priorities and constraints.

Desirable : Knowledge of artificial intelligence (AI) technologies, frameworks, and MCP.

Qualifications And Experience :

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related fields

5-8 years of experience in IT roles involving solution design, software development, or systems integration.

Experience working in an international environment (Spanish and English languages).
