A leading fintech company in Spain is seeking a Software Engineer to join a small, dynamic team focused on developing a mission-critical platform. In this role, you will design and maintain server-side Java applications while working collaboratively within an Agile framework. The ideal candidate will have 3–5+ years of experience in server-side Java development, a strong focus on quality and testing, and experience with SQL and Agile methodologies. This position offers a remote work option.

Formación

• 3–5+ years’ experience in server-side Java development.
• Strength in at least three areas such as web technologies, messaging, data modelling, security, concurrency or performance tuning.
• Experience working in small, productive Agile/Scrum teams.

As a Software Engineer, you’ll join a small, highly capable engineering team shaping the future of a mission-critical platform.

Engineers here are full-stack generalists who value clean design, quality engineering and a strong DevOps culture.

You’ll collaborate closely with colleagues in an agile environment, gaining exposure to all parts of the system and having real influence over technical decisions.

Design, develop and maintain server-side Java applications

Contribute from requirements through to production deployment

Participate in code reviews, testing and continuous integration

Support operational excellence through DevOps practices

3–5+ years’ experience in server-side Java development

Strength in at least three areas such as web technologies, messaging, data modelling, security, concurrency or performance tuning

A strong focus on testing, reliability and quality

Experience working in small, productive Agile / Scrum teams

Working knowledge of SQL and relational databases (e.g. Exposure to cloud platforms, Kubernetes or DevOps tooling

A Computer Science degree or related background

Spain - Remote

Initial contract would be via Deel (when the team is established the business will look to incorporate in Spain).
