About our partner

On behalf of our partner C&A, a multinational retail clothing brand with stores across Europe, we are seeking top talent to join rindus. They are collaborating with their e-commerce division, based in Düsseldorf, Germany. You will work in a distributed team from our office in Málaga, Spain, or remotely.

What you'll be doing

We are looking for a Senior Automation Engineer to lead the development and implementation of test automation frameworks and pipelines across multiple teams. Your role will be key in reducing manual QA efforts, improving test reliability, and enabling faster, higher-quality releases.

  • Define and implement the organization's test automation strategy.
  • Build, maintain, and scale Playwright-based test automation frameworks for UI, API, and end-to-end testing.
  • Partner with development and QA teams to integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
  • Provide guidance, mentoring, and best practices in test automation.
  • Set up automation pipelines, tools, and reporting dashboards for continuous testing and feedback.
  • Ensure comprehensive test coverage and reliable regression testing processes.
  • Evaluate and adopt tools that complement Playwright, such as reporting, monitoring, and performance testing tools.
  • Establish standards and coding guidelines for test automation.
  • Collaborate with Product Managers, Developers, and QA teams to align testing needs.
  • Work with DevOps engineers to integrate automated testing into deployment workflows.
  • Identify opportunities to improve test efficiency, stability, and speed.
  • Implement test data management solutions and reusable components to reduce redundancy.
What you'll bring
  • 5+ years in test automation engineering, with at least 2+ years leading or mentoring teams.
  • Hands-on experience with Playwright for web automation.
  • Experience with API testing tools (e.g., Postman, RestAssured).
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, GitLab CI).
  • Knowledge of containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of QA methodologies (unit, integration, system, regression).
  • Experience with test management and defect tracking tools (e.g., Jira, TestRail).
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to support multiple teams.
  • Ability to lead automation initiatives and promote best practices.
  • Problem-solving mindset focused on scalability and maintainability.
