The Opportunity

We are looking for a candidate to join the Foresight team based in Arup Spain and to work on projects in Spain, Europe and globally. The role offers a significant opportunity to drive and influence the future of our clients, our business and our team.

Responsibilities
  • Manage internal and external Foresight projects (incl. scoping and bid development, research and analysis, client engagement, team and budget management…)
  • Actively participate to Foresight business development in Spain and Europe
  • Support the development and performance of a small team of foresight analysts
  • Support the engagement of relevant Arup Businesses and Services in Spain and Europe to understand their strategic priorities
  • Lead the development and delivery of research and reports for our clients and other parts of the firm
  • Plan, prepare and deliver highly interactive internal and external workshops and engagements, ranging from small roundtable discussions to wider public / client engagements
  • Working across multiple sectors, regions, and domains and acting as an integrator of Foresight with Arup’s deep technical and domain expertise
  • Act as an ambassador of the foresight approaches and team in Spain and Europe, contributing to raise awareness about its value to external and internal clients as well as our broader firm.
Qualifications / What we are looking for
  • Experience in the advisory and consulting sector.
  • Strong project management and coordination skills and experience
  • Strong business development and client engagement skills and experience.
  • Experience with and knowledge of key frameworks, methodologies and approaches applied in foresight and strategy projects.
  • Quantitative and qualitative skills.
  • Interest, dedication, and passion for understanding trends that shape the future built environment and wider society.
  • Ability to independently manage projects, including project planning and coordination with other teams.
  • Ability to support the learning and development of others.
  • Excellent communication, organisation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong written and spoken Spanish and English (additional European languages is a plus).
  • Existing network of potential partners and clients in European countries is a plus.
  • Experience in leading client bids and propositions, from initial concept to final proposition.
  • Ability to articulate the value of Foresight for strategy, risk, and innovation processes.
  • Experience in facilitating workshops, events and conversations with high level stakeholder groups and build consensus.
  • Knowledge of the built environment and / or related sectors is a plus.
