Formación

JOB DESCRIPTION :

This role is within the Financial Accounting team, part of the Finance Department, focusing on the statutory reporting of the Group (both internal and external).

Purpose of the role :

To collaborate with the financial accounting team to ensure the accurate and timely production of financial results for internal and external reporting, including robust reporting and review of the Group balance sheet and other financial KPIs.

To analyze the P&L and balance sheet thoroughly, understanding the underlying balances, processes, and controls behind them.

To assist with ad hoc analysis and project work, emphasizing risk, opportunity, and control identification.

Responsibilities :

  • Support the preparation of components of the Group Financial statements quarterly, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with relevant standards.
  • Assist in preparing detailed analyses for auditors to facilitate smooth year-end and interim audits without late adjustments.
  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of balance sheet items, validating their accuracy and supporting controls and processes.
  • Participate in ongoing balance sheet reviews by preparing reconciliations, identifying discrepancies early, and challenging recognition where necessary.
  • Contribute to the minimum controls framework reporting and follow up on identified control deficiencies.

Experience :

  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in a finance team within a multinational or audit environment.
  • Good educational background.
  • Fluent in Spanish and English.
  • Knowledge of IFRS standards.
  • Experience in financial controls is desirable.
  • Experience in listed companies or as an auditor is desirable.

Qualifications :

  • Relevant finance or business degree required.
  • Part-qualified or fully qualified accountant preferred.
