We’re hiring a Senior Data Engineer with a focus on Snowflake and dbt. You’ll build and optimize data pipelines, collaborate in a Scrum team, and contribute to Java/Spring Boot services. We value a strong learning mindset, ownership, and being a true team player.
This role requires proactive engagement across IQVIA’s technical landscape—maintaining awareness of how internal teams operate—to evaluate trends, align with MTMA’s strategic direction, and drive informed technical decisions by collaborating with architecture, development, and infrastructure groups to leverage enterprise-wide technologies, innovation, and resources.
What you’ll do
A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field—or equivalent practical experience—is required. The ideal candidate will have 8+ years of professional Data Engineering experience.
This is a remote/home-based role with an expectation to work East Coast hours. Candidates should be comfortable navigating project management tools such as Jira and Lucid, and demonstrate strong organizational skills, including maintaining clear documentation and managing multiple assignments in a fast-paced, client-facing environment. A mindset that prioritizes customer value over story-point velocity is essential, as is a strong sense of ownership—engineers are expected to own what they build from design through decommission. Mentorship is a core responsibility, not optional, and continuous learning is both supported and encouraged. The ability to collaborate effectively across matrixed teams, including internal account, technical services, and data teams, is critical. Familiarity with IQVIA’s technology landscape, patient/claims data is a plus. Candidates must be accountable for project timelines and outcomes, and capable of communicating clearly and constructively across disciplines.
