The role

You will be a pivotal figure in the Procurement & Commercial department supporting the Asset Management (operations) business unit based in Spain. This strategic role aims to enhance operational excellence and cost-effectiveness across all contracts and sourcing activities. Join our team to lead, mentor, and drive meaningful improvements.

  • Lead and mentor a team, providing direction and inspiration.
  • Build and maintain robust relationships with primary suppliers and contractors.
  • Collaborate with managers to optimize commercial and procurement strategies, demonstrating a cost-effective approach.
  • Manage post-contract commercial activities, including contract management, claims, and key supplier relationships.
  • Ensure adherence to safety standards and procedures across all operations.
  • Provide comprehensive commercial support and ensure compliance with SSE’s procurement and commercial policies.
You have
  • Proven ability to maintain contractual records and perform compliance audits.
  • Experience managing objectives in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong negotiation skills, especially with complex international contracts.
  • Capability in contract management supporting strategic organizational goals.
  • Professional skills in data interpretation, contract drafting, and strategic planning.
