Job Summary

We’re seeking a pragmatic legal professional to join our team as a Regional Expert Legal & Compliance WEU & CEE. Reporting directly to the Regional Officer Legal & Compliance WEU & CEE, you will act as a key advisor on a wide range of legal and compliance matters across the region. This senior role focuses on commercial law, corporate governance, litigation, and working on cross-functional projects with diverse international stakeholders and both internal and external lawyers. Collaborating with local operations, you will provide expert legal support to ensure alignment with global policies and local regulations in a fast-paced, multicultural environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Commercial Law: Review, draft, and adapt contracts, templates, and checklists to meet regional needs. Provide legal guidance to sales and leadership teams.
• Corporate Governance: Advise on company law matters, including preparing and reviewing governance documents (e.g. shareholder resolutions, articles of association, board minutes).
• Training & Communication: Deliver legal and compliance training; raise awareness through targeted communication campaigns.
• Litigation: Handle litigation cases with external legal counsel and manage reporting.
• M&A Support: Support legal and compliance aspects of M&A processes, including due diligence, integrations, and related documentation.

Requirements

• Law degree from an EU country (e.g. Bachelor / Master of Laws, Juris Doctor, or equivalent).
• 5+ years of experience in an international law firm or senior in-house legal role.
• Strong expertise in commercial law, corporate governance, litigation, and M&A processes.
• Strong interest in compliance topics (anti-corruption, conflicts of interest, competition law, etc.).
• Proven track record of managing cross-functional projects and collaborating effectively with diverse stakeholders in multicultural environments.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex legal topics clearly to diverse audiences.
• Pragmatic with problem-solving skills and the ability to deliver practical legal solutions.
