Team Leadership
- Manage, develop, and coach a team of accounting professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.
Collaboration and Communication
- Collaborate effectively with other departments (treasury, accounts payable, etc.) and in different countries (controlling, human resources, tax, etc.) as well as external stakeholders (auditors) to ensure smooth and accurate financial operations.
Closing & GL analysis
- Agree on closing calendar with local team, follow up to ensure compliance, investigate delays, solve incidents, and implement action plans.
- Lead month-end and year-end closing activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and GL analysis.
- Lead Balance Sheet Review and other meetings with relevant stakeholders.
Consolidation Reporting & Tax
- Support preparation of consolidation reports, focusing on equity and taxes.
- Assist with other consolidation reports (taxes, country-by-country report).
- Coordinate with local teams and Group tax department on tax matters: payments, calculations, declarations, and inquiries.
- Review and support the preparation of corporate income tax filings.
Quality & Internal Control
- Follow SOPs for R2R and implement Group guidelines.
- Ensure internal controls are effective and accounting compliance is maintained.
- Respect legal and tax requirements and service levels.
Finance Master Data
- Lead projects to cleanse and standardize finance master data.
- Work with business users to understand data needs and ensure compliance.
- Oversee month-end and year-end activities related to finance data elements.
- Monitor KPIs related to data quality.
Other Responsibilities
- Manage external audits for the Finance Department.
- Coordinate dividend campaigns to ensure timely processing.
- Lead team upskilling initiatives.
- Assist with implementing new norms and provide feedback on Target Finance Processes.
- Support complex accounting operations like mergers, deconsolidation, business transfers.
- Engage actively in accounting and tax tribes.
