JOB DESCRIPTION

We are currently seeking a Project Director to join the team based in Barcelona (Spain).

About The Role:

Your main missions and responsibilities will be to:

1. Ensure that the project is planned, organized and executed in accordance with the Business Management System.
2. Lead the planning of project strategies (contracting, risk management, project controls and project execution) and the development of the Project Execution Plan.
3. Build and maintain the relationship with the client and other interested parties associated with the Project (partners, subcontractors, suppliers, etc.).
4. Create a quality, HSE-oriented work climate that fosters customer satisfaction and HSE awareness among the project team.
5. Identify business opportunities at the tender stage and work with the proposals team to communicate customer requirements, driving their specifications towards standardized product solutions during the tender stage.
6. Conduct an in-depth review of the Contract, tender and tender documents, ensuring the Project Team understands the scope of work and supports the Client's needs and objectives.
7. Guarantee the achievement or improvement of forecasts.
8. Manage and lead the project team, establishing and monitoring performance objectives.
9. Contribute to the development of people by interacting with the project and human resources department.

About You:

1. Bachelor's degree in Chemical or Industrial Engineering. Valuable Master in Project Management.
2. At least 10 years of previous experience in engineering project management in the oil and gas sector, chemical plants and/or power plants is essential. Very valuable to have experience on site as a Project Manager.
3. Advanced level of English is essential. Other languages such as French and/or German will be considered.
4. Availability to travel according to project requirements is essential.
5. Excellent understanding of onshore projects, including equipment, operations and services.
6. Ability to lead functional project teams and manage critical schedules with the goal of optimizing customer service.
