Una institución de investigación biológica en España busca un estudiante de doctorado para unirse al grupo de investigación “Molecular Biophysics of DNA Repair Nanomachines”. El candidato ideal debe tener un máster en física o una disciplina relacionada, sin poseer un doctorado previamente. Este proyecto, financiado por el programa de actividades I+D, se centra en el desarrollo de nuevas herramientas biofísicas. Las solicitudes se deben enviar a fernando.moreno@cnb.csic.es.

Formación

  • Máster universitario requerido para ingresar a un programa de doctorado.
  • No poseer un título de doctorado de universidad española o extranjera.
  • Se valorará experiencia previa en disciplinas relacionadas.

Responsabilidades

  • Desarrollar herramientas biofísicas combinadas con microscopía.
  • Estudiar interacciones entre ácidos nucleicos y proteínas a nivel molecular.
  • Colaborar en el proyecto TecNanoBio-CM liderado por el Prof. Fernando Moreno-Herrero.

Conocimientos

Offer Description

The “Molecular Biophysics of DNA Repair Nanomachines” Research Group, led by Prof. Fernando Moreno-Herrero is looking for a PhD student (4 years FPI contract) to join his project funded through the program of R&D activities with reference TEC-2024/TEC-158 and acronym TecNanoBio-CM, granted by the Autonomous Region of Madrid (CAM) through the “Dirección General de Investigacion e Innovación Tecnológica”. The goal of this PhD project is to develop new biophysical tools based Atomic Force Microscope combined with TIRF microscopy for the study of nucleic acids and proteins interactions at the single-molecule level.

The ideal candidate should hold a university master degree required for admission into a PhD programme. The candidate must not possess a doctoral degree from any Spanish or foreign university. Experience in physics, biophysics, or related disciplines is highly valued.

Additional Information

4-year contract under the CSIC predoctoral contract scheme.

Eligibility criteria

Degree in Physics. Master in Physics/biophysics or related discipline.
