COVID-19 has accelerated the demand for flexible workspace solutions, prompting us to expand our global network rapidly. We are recruiting partners to open and operate IWG locations, targeting building owners, franchise operators, and competitors, requiring a dynamic approach to business development.
Purpose
- The Partnerships team plays a key role in selling and developing business partnerships at local and regional levels, focusing on landlords and building owners to grow our network. The Regional Director will lead a proactive team that generates sales leads, sells the IWG partnership proposition, and converts opportunities into signed contracts. This high-intensity role involves managing complex sales processes and high activity volumes.
- Adapt the global network growth framework to local markets, plan market entry, and secure development agreements with suitable new partners to meet regional growth targets.
- Ensure brand standards are maintained across the network and deliver profitable growth and a good return on investment for partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and motivate a team of Partnership Sales Managers.
- Increase awareness of the IWG partnership proposition through B2B connections.
- Identify, contact, and pitch to prospective partners via networking and cold calling.
- SOURCE partners capable of rapid network expansion through existing or new buildings.
- Sell partnership solutions, negotiate, and secure board approval for deals.
- Convert discussions into signed contracts with legal support.
- Spend significant time in the field generating leads, meeting clients, and closing deals.
- Ensure each team member closes at least 12 new deals annually.
- Promote our proposition through trade shows and networks.
- Perform due diligence and work with legal to finalize agreements.
- Sign deals that enable quick, profitable network growth with suitable locations and ROI for partners.
Required Skills, Experience & Qualifications
- Senior B2B sales leadership in a fast-growing multinational environment.
- Business development experience in complex solutions/services sales.
- Experience in commercial real estate investment or franchise development is advantageous.
- Ability to remotely manage and motivate a business development team, exceeding targets.
- Broad-minded, disciplined, and proactive in business development.
- Self-starter with a focus on results and risk-taking willingness.
- Proven track record of sourcing and closing large deals (€500k+).
- Excellent communication skills to present compelling narratives to diverse audiences.
- Ability to work under pressure and independently generate interest.
- Strong business and financial acumen to build confidence and credibility.
