Our Solution Engineering team is responsible for providing the technical leadership throughout the sales process and achieving the technical win. This is a highly dynamic, customer-facing, role within the sales and business development group where you’ll have the opportunity to help shape and deliver on the overall sales and delivery strategy for Flexera’s IT spend optimisation solutions.

As a Solution Engineer Manager, you will be leading a team of Flexera’s talented, presales specialists across EMEA. You will report into Vice President, EMEA Solution Engineering and will partner with major account managers and sales RVPs with a focus on collaborating on revenue generating strategies and opportunities and hitting sales targets. You will be responsible for running a team of pre-sales specialists supporting account managers in the Nordics, Benelux, France, and Spain. The current team size is 6 solution engineers. The strong preference is for a player – manager, a person who is equally passionate about technology as well as about recruiting, coaching, developing, and supporting a team of exceptional individual contributors.

Main Responsibilities : Strong leadership and management of a team of pre-sales specialists Ensuring that the presales team is trained and equipped to deliver exceptional performance in their day-to-day activities (e.g. customer meetings; delivering presentations, demonstrations & proof-of-concepts; leading workshops; driving & gathering customer requirements; responding to RFIs / RFPs, etc) Leading from the front - getting personally involved in sales campaigns, and carrying out presales work in support of team members Recruiting, developing and retaining top talent Inspiring and motivating the team resulting in high employee engagement, advocacy, sense of belonging and loyalty to the team and Flexera Driving individual and team performance through goal setting and semi-annual performance reviews Leading the creation of technical win plans as part of the overall deal strategy Partnering with sales RVPs and ensuring sales targets are met Driving productivity initiatives such as knowledge sharing, IP re-use, etc Ensuring continuous development of team members – both technical and soft skills Having regular career discussions with the team members

Qualifications, Experience & Requirements : Strong track record in meeting and exceeding goals (including sales quotas) Solution / consultative selling approach to winning customer business Previous management experience of building, developing and leading multi-cultural pre sales teams across EMEA Strong technical background and recognition as a domain expert in the software industry (e.g. industry event participation, presentations, blogging, etc.) Ideally, a broad knowledge of Flexera’s portfolio of products Knowledge and practical experience in some of the following : Public cloud technology, such as Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure or Google Cloud Platform Cloud architecture Cloud native services and concepts Cloud licensing Cloud migration Cloud Financial Management / FinOps / Cloud Cost Optimization Automation and configuration management IT Visability IT Asset Management SaaS based technologies IT Service Management

Other Requirements : Ability to travel up to 50% of the time BS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related disciplines or equivalent experience Native or business proficiency in English Additional European language skills highly desirable (e.g. Spanish, French, Dutch, Italian or others)
