A leading airline based in Spain is seeking a Labour Relations Manager for an 8-month maternity leave cover. The successful candidate will manage relationships with employee representatives, ensure compliance with labor laws, and implement fair management practices. Candidates should have a degree in labor relations and at least 2 years of experience, preferably in the airline industry. Proficiency in English and Spanish is required.

Overview

Overview – Join to apply for the Labour Relations Manager (maternity leave) role at Vueling Airlines.

Job Purpose

Deploy the labor relations strategy and lead the relationship with the legal representation of the workers of the Vueling group, in accordance with the legislation and regulations in force in each country and the Company’s labor relations strategy, to ensure harmony between the company, employees, and unions, in a way that preserves or improves productivity and labor costs. This includes ensuring consistent and fair management practices and employment conditions across the organization, such as the implementation of policies. The role is a maternity leave cover, expected to run for approximately 8 months.

Main Accountabilities
  • Reach agreements that safeguard the interests of the Company and ensure a clear and safe working framework for employees, which are subsequently applied consistently in all countries.

  • Ensure the correct application of the agreed working conditions for workers.
  • Safeguard the interests of the Company without hindering the work of the legal representatives of the workers, and resolve any doubts that may be brought to our attention.
  • Correct and avoid the repetition of breaches by workers, with due guarantees.
  • Ensure the minor defense of the interests of the Company before the different judicial jurisdictions.
  • Provide the Company with the labor flexibility necessary to respond to the needs of the business.
  • Ensure that they make a correct application of all of them, and take it into account in the management of their teams.
  • Respond to the information required by the labor inspection, preparing allegations and resources, safeguarding the interests of the Company, and reducing the economic and social impact that the inspection acts may have on each company.
  • Ensure open and continuous communication with the legal representation of workers and trade union partners, facilitating the preventive detection of possible conflicts in the workforce.
  • Fulfill the mission of the job if it is in the employee's hand.
