A global logistics and procurement company is looking for an IT Project Buyer to lead procurement strategies for software and IT-related options. This role is based in Madrid and offers a strategic position within the Procurement division.
We are seeking an IT Project Buyer (M / F) to join our Procurement division. The primary focus of this role will be managing our software procurement portfolio.
Lead IT procurement for related operational and capital expenses across regions.
Align procurement with business goals and technology roadmaps.
Support internal stakeholders in defining and formalizing their needs—from drafting specifications to negotiating and finalizing contracts—while ensuring compliance with internal procedures and regulatory requirements.
Develop sourcing plans for IT categories (e.g. telecommunications, consulting).
Manage the full sourcing lifecycle: identifying business needs, collaborating with internal teams, and negotiating complex contracts with key IT partners.
Identify savings opportunities and drive global cost optimization.
Deliver procurement strategies ensuring efficiency and compliance.
Source and evaluate suppliers based on quality, cost, and service.
Lead contract negotiations and coordinate vendor relationship management.
Lead tenders, supplier audits, and performance reviews.
Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and risk standards.
Supervise contract expirations and lead renewal processes.
Improve procurement processes and adopt standard methodologies.
Ensure adherence to internal policies and procurement standards.
Supervise critical metrics and assist in ongoing improvement initiatives.
Analyze trends and variances to support decision-making.
Supervise procurement budgets and identify savings.
Report on spend, savings, supplier performance, and critical metrics.
Report on expenditure and cost-reduction initiatives.
