A global technology leader is looking for a Sales Specialist in Madrid to drive the sales growth of their Standard & Configure to Order business. You will be responsible for sourcing new sales opportunities, preparing technical offers, and achieving sales quotas. The ideal candidate will have an engineering degree, at least 5 years of sales experience, and technical know-how in the electrical segment. Formación

This Position reports to:
Marketing & Sales Manager

Your Role and Responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to drive sales growth of Standard & Configure to Order business exploiting ABB Installed base and enhancing customer engagement through virtual selling and digital communication capturing sales opportunities through selected accounts.

In this role, you'll help run what runs the world, by taking on meaningful work that drives real impact.

Work model: #LI-hybrid

  • Source new sales opportunities through inbound lead follow-up and outbound calls, emails and marketing campaigns.
  • Understand customer process, needs, expectations and requirements to provide a relevant solution and support based on needs and financial capacities.
  • Handle and route qualified opportunities to the appropriate sales executives for further development and, close and operate CRM SFDC to ensure authentic information is available with the company, as well as submit weekly Sales reports.
  • Prepare Technical and Commercial offers for Standard & Configurable offering and submit them to customers within closing dates and coordinate with technical team for proper quotation estimation and technical offerings.
  • Hand over the awarded customer purchasing orders to the execution to the delivery/PM team.
  • Close sales and achieve monthly/quarterly/yearly quotas per country, per offer type, maintaining the Gross Margin as instructed by management.
  • Research accounts, identify key players and generate interest to maintain and expand a database of prospects within the assigned customers, collaborating with the service partners to build pipeline and close deals.

Qualifications for the Role
  • Engineering degree, in electrical or similar specialization, or relevant work experience with medium voltage & low voltage solutions.
  • At least 5 years of experience in Sales, preferably in Inside Sales or developing and delivering tailored solutions to customers.
  • Knowledge of CRM (Sales Force) and SAP.
  • Technical skills and experience in the Electrical Segment.
  • Mindset to innovate, take ownership, drive improvement.
  • Ease to communicate in English.
  • Cross-functional collaboration skills
