A leading manufacturing company in Madrid is seeking a Process Engineer to provide technical support to ophthalmic lens laboratories globally. The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of experience in production, a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, and strong communication skills. This role offers flexible working hours and various employee benefits including health insurance and additional holidays.

Overview

The Role

We’re looking for a Process Engineer to work daily with the manufacturer ophthalmic lenses laboratories across the world.

Technical responsibilities
  • Engineer service support in the integration of new software, products and technologies into existing lab equipment platforms of third-party labs to successfully manufacture lenses made with any of the IOT technologies.
  • Setting up and configuring new optical lens designs for customers
  • Troubleshooting and resolution of software and production process deviations and issues.
  • Quality control of ophthalmic lens production in optical labs:
    • Surfacing department QC
    • Coating department QC
  • Process Improvement service to optical laboratories
  • Collaborate from a technical perspective in the management of IOT customers (ophthalmic labs) with the sales and marketing teams of the company that work with the same accounts.
  • Interdepartmental collaboration for multiple projects and tasks
  • Collaboration with the commercial team developing new strategies.
  • Communication and collaboration with development teams to resolve software incidences.
  • Consulting, customer service (not sales) and training customers
  • Be responsible for maintaining a relationship with the customers and supporting all their needs
Required skills and experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Chemical, Mechanical, Optical Engineering or related field.
  • English C1 and a third language would be a plus.
  • 5 years of previous process engineering experience in manufacturing laboratories of ophthalmic lenses.
