About the Client

An international, growing high-risk acquiring company operating under an FCA licence with Visa and Mastercard principal membership. The organisation is expanding its operational foundation and is now looking for a senior leader to shape the structure, processes from an early stage.

Role Overview

This role will take full ownership of operational development, regulatory communication and process implementation across the business. The Head of Operations will lead daily operational flow, set standards, build policies, and collaborate closely with executive leadership to establish scalable infrastructure almost from scratch.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and scale operational processes from ground up across the organisation.
• Act as primary point of contact for FCA and other regulatory interactions.
• Oversee high-risk transaction flows, compliance alignment and risk-control execution.
• Structure internal policies, procedures, manuals and operational playbooks.
• Lead cross-department communication and ensure timely decision-making.
• Ensure smooth execution of internal and external audits, reviews, and reporting.
• The role involves communication with international clients.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience in fintech.
• Proven work with FCA regulations and regulatory communication.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in high-risk payments / acquiring.
• Successful track record in building operational processes from zero.
• Strong understanding of compliance frameworks and payment flows.
• Fluent in Russian
