Job Title: Head of Engineering

Location: Remote (EU preferred: UK, Germany, or Spain)

Salary: Circa 140K Euros + 10K Bonus + Shares

We are a reputable, award-winning organization within the SaaS space, working closely with our CTO, CPO, Head of Product, and key stakeholders to execute our product roadmap. We focus on attracting top talent, fostering collaboration, and driving innovation in areas like big data, remote sensing, and machine learning.

Responsibilities

• Lead software development for large-scale production systems using Python, Java, or Golang.
• Implement microservice architecture, event sourcing, and cloud-native infrastructure following best practices.
• Manage CI/CD pipelines and oversee system reliability and scalability.

Requirements

• 8+ years of engineering experience in production environments.
• 1-2+ years in a senior engineering leadership role (e.g., Head of Engineering, VP of Engineering).
• Experience managing global teams of 10+ engineers.
• Strong background in deep-tech strategies, product roadmaps, and collaboration with product teams.
• Knowledge of Kafka is a plus.
• Fluent English and passion for sustainability.
