Main Responsibilities

Canadian Solar seeks an experienced commercial lawyer to lead its EMEA legal team. The ideal candidate will provide sound legal advice, exercise good judgment, and work effectively with senior management and external counsel.

• Negotiate and draft agreements for PV products and solutions
• Work with credit and procurement teams on security arrangements
• Ensure compliance with EU laws and regulations
• Develop legal policies and templates
• Manage a team of lawyers and coordinate outside counsel
• Maintain high ethical standards and compliance

Compliance

• Maintain compliance programs and training
• Manage anti-bribery, anti-corruption, and KYC processes
• Provide compliance advice and reports
• Oversee data protection policies

Competencies

• Qualified lawyer in England & Wales, Spain, France, or Germany
• At least 8 years of legal experience, preferably in top-tier firms or corporate legal departments
• Knowledge of cross-border trade, IP laws, and solar sector specifics

Languages

• English and Spanish or German; additional European languages are a plus
