Overview

Functional Analyst (SAP S/4HANA)

Contract: 12 months initially (potential to go permanent)

About the Role

Korn Ferry is seeking an experienced Functional Analyst to support one of our major international life sciences clients. Our client is a fast-growing Contract Development and Manufacturing Organisation (CDMO) operating across multiple European sites, currently undertaking a large-scale SAP S/4HANA implementation as part of a multi-year business transformation.

This role will be key to bridging the gap between business stakeholders and the technical implementation team, ensuring functional requirements are captured, validated, and delivered effectively.

Responsibilities

• Engage with business process owners across manufacturing, supply chain, quality, finance, and commercial functions to gather and document requirements.
• Translate business needs into functional specifications and support solution design within SAP S/4HANA.
• Partner with programme managers, change management leads, and data migration teams to ensure seamless integration of functional processes.
• Support system configuration, functional testing, and validation activities.
• Manage functional documentation (process flows, test scripts, requirements traceability).
• Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical development teams to ensure alignment.
• Provide input into training and change management deliverables.
• Contribute to programme cutover planning, data validation, and hypercare activities.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' experience in functional analysis within large-scale ERP or transformation programmes (SAP experience strongly preferred).
• Solid knowledge of one or more functional domains relevant to life sciences manufacturing (eg Supply Chain, Procurement, Finance, Plant Maintenance, Quality Management).
• Strong experience in requirements gathering, documentation, and translating business needs into technical/functional deliverables.
• Background in system testing, validation, and user acceptance testing.
• Experience working in regulated environments (GxP, FDA, EMA) highly desirable.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to operate across business and IT teams.
• Fluency in English; additional European languages (French, Spanish) a strong advantage.
• Flexibility to travel across European sites as required.
