Formación

  • Min 2 years of experience in controlling, accounting and/or budgeting.
  • Experience in a data-rich analytical role with complex Excel models.
  • Attention to detail and ability to investigate problem areas.

Responsabilidades

  • Manage invoicing and ensure timely billing.
  • Conduct month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closings.
  • Analyze profit and loss statement and KPIs.
  • Support annual budgets and monthly rolling forecasts.

Job Description
Position Summary

This pivotal Finance Partnering role is based in Barcelona and will be assisting the performance of the Languages Schools, as well as part giving support to the review and forecasting of the Company’s sales.

Reporting to the Senior FP&A manager, you will provide support to Sales, Operations and Schools functions.

Main responsibilities and functions
  • Manage invoicing, from issuing invoices to tracking payments and resolving discrepancies, ensuring timely billing and accurate records.
  • Conduct monthly, quarterly, and annual closings, ensuring all accounts are reconciled on time and compliant with accounting standards.
  • Tracking and proposing of accruals before and during the closings, and analysing the variances vs actual amounts.
  • Analyze variations in profit and loss statement, and key performance indicators (KPIs) specific to the sector.
  • Give support to annual budgets and monthly rolling forecasts.
  • Report on missing invoices, identifying and resolving discrepancies for accurate financial data, and calculate the necessary accruals and provisions.
Qualifications and experience
  • Min 2 years of experience in controlling, accounting and / or budgeting and forecasting.
  • Experience in a data-rich analytical role involving complex Excel models, including both regular reporting packs and project-orientated deep-dives.
  • Attention to detail and ability to investigate problem areas with an inquisitive mind.
Skills and competencies
  • High level of initiative, self-motivation, and drive.
  • Advanced Excel knowledge is essential.
  • Spanish and English is a must. (written and verbal)
  • Solid technical accounting skills.
  • Systems experience in Microsoft suite including Financial Analyser, Business Central and Power BI would be an advantage.

This role is based at KLG’s offices in Barcelona. Kaplan uses a hybrid working model, and we’ll be asking you to join us for a minimum of three days a week in the office.
