About the Role

We’re looking for a seasoned financial leader to join a fast-growing, international family office based in Marbella as Director of Finance — a pivotal role for someone ready to drive strategy, shape business decisions, and take ownership of financial performance across a diverse group of companies.

This isn’t just about keeping the books in order. This is about influencing the direction of the businesses, presenting models and insights to the decision-makers, identifying new opportunities for growth (and areas where the budget needs reigning in), and working alongside a motivated, ambitious team that’s hungry to scale — with your expertise lighting the way.

The ideal candidate is a commercially astute, highly analytical finance professional with excellent communication skills, a strategic mindset, and a proactive attitude. Someone who thrives in a dynamic environment, speaks fluent Excel and similar tools, and can steer financial operations across multiple entities with poise and precision.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Lead financial strategy, forecasting, and long-term planning across all companies within the family office structure
  2. Develop financial models to assess viability of current and new ventures, partnerships, and investments
  3. Monitor and manage cash flow, working capital, and liquidity across multiple entities
  4. Conduct regular financial performance reviews, present insights to founders, CEOs and senior leadership
  5. Set and track KPIs, create dashboards and reports that inform business decisions
  6. Identify areas of overspend and inefficiency, and propose actionable cost-saving measures
  7. Collaborate with department heads to build budgets and forecasts
  8. Supervise accounting processes, including financial statements, tax submissions, audits and compliance (with external support where relevant)
  9. Provide financial due diligence and scenario analysis for new projects or acquisitions
  10. Ensure strong internal controls and risk management procedures
  11. Manage relationships with banks, auditors, tax advisors, and other external stakeholders
Requirements
  • 8+ years of progressive experience in finance, accounting, or strategic financial planning, ideally within an international or entrepreneurial environment
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration or similar
  • Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration (MBA), or Financial Management is highly preferred
  • Previous experience as a Finance Director, FP&A lead, Head of Finance, or similar
  • Fluent in English and Spanish is essential
  • Advanced Excel and strong financial modelling skills; experience with reporting tools (e.g., Power BI) preferred
  • A strategic thinker with strong attention to detail and a hands-on approach
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex information clearly to non-financial stakeholders
  • Strong leadership and organisational skills
On Offer
  • Competitive salary tailored to experience and potential
  • Full-time, in-person role based in the Marbella office
  • A key role within a dynamic, values-driven family office with international reach
  • Ambitious but friendly team of high performers
  • Real opportunity for long-term growth, impact, and career development
