Join our Innovative Team

As Financial Accounting Generalist at Aptiv, you will play a key role in our Pamplona Finance function, reporting directly to our Senior Finance Supervisor.

Please note, this in an onsite position.

Your Role:

• Provides support in month/year end Accounting closings
• Analyze monthly financial statements in US GAAP
• Manage monthly Balance sheet and P&L submission to Corporate in HFM and FDM
• Provides support to the controlling team on closing activities in accordance with Aptiv policies.
• Coordinate financial month end closure activities with Corporate.
• Manage relationships with Central Areas on vendor, customer, collections, banking, and tax matters
• Point of contact for annual audits (E&Y) and internal audits, providing required documentation and responding to queries
• Monthly accounts reconciliation (CARS).
• Monitor and report Investments to Corporate and coordinate with local Engineering team on investment related matters.
• Manage, track, and maintain the Leasing module for correct accounting
• Prepare ad-hoc financial information as required by management
• Responsible for the launch of the payroll process under the supervision and control of the HR area
• Control of accounting report related to the payroll process and supervision of the process of Social Security charges and Tax payments
  
  

Your background:

• 2-3 years experience working within Finance related role
• Bachelors/Masters or equivalent in Business, Economics, Law or similar
• Understanding of US GAAP (preferred) or IFRS.
• Strong technical skills with the ability to understand complex accounting issues and models.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to work as part of a dynamic leadership team to collaboratively solve complex problems innovatively.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral) with the ability to interact well with people of various backgrounds and levels.
• Fluent in Spanish and Business level English language skills.
• Strong Excel skills.
• Experience with SAP or similar would be an advantage.
