The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. Position Summary

Reporting to the Senior Executive Director, the Director will provide leadership and direction for the SVR Direct Services program, which offers trauma-informed, confidential support, crisis intervention/counseling, advocacy, connection to resources, referrals, online orders of protection, and accompaniment for survivors of gender and power-based violence.

The Director will supervise a team of professionals specialized in victim advocacy, trauma-informed crisis response, and case management for students affected by sexual, intimate partner, gender, and power-based violence. This role includes 24/7 year-round supervision of on-call and after-hours staff, including consultation, crisis intervention, case supervision, and in-person support.

The role involves providing training, outreach, community education, and systems-level advocacy. The Director will contribute to campus-wide sexual violence initiatives, collaborate on strategic planning, and help evaluate and improve the Direct Services infrastructure. Operational leadership for SVR in the absence of the Senior Executive Director is also required.

This is an essential onsite role, requiring after-hours work including holidays, evenings, and weekends, with some hybrid work options possible.

Responsibilities
Direct Services (55%)
  • Lead 24/7 survivor services, including crisis response, advocacy, and resource referral.
  • Oversee case management to ensure trauma-informed response and proper documentation.
  • Supervise advocates, coordinate with law enforcement, Title IX, and community agencies.
  • Manage confidential records, monitor systems, and handle high-risk cases.
  • Participate in on-call rotations and respond to emergencies.
  • Develop and evaluate service goals, and collaborate on strategic planning.
Personnel Management and Administration (30%)
  • Develop leadership within the team, evaluate staff performance, and manage recruitment.
  • Oversee staff training, onboarding, and policy development.
  • Ensure compliance with regulations and maintain certifications.
  • Represent SVR on committees and stay informed on relevant policies and best practices.
Training and Prevention (10%)
  • Develop and deliver training programs for staff, volunteers, and students.
  • Create educational materials and manage outreach activities.
Other duties (5%)
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Senior Executive Director.
Minimum Qualifications
  • At least 5 years of leadership experience in a survivor services program.
  • Expertise in trauma-informed practices and violence prevention advocacy.
  • Experience in training development, crisis management, and community collaboration.
  • Ability to handle confidential information and communicate effectively at all levels.
  • Strong analytical, strategic, and organizational skills.
  • Commitment to diversity, equity, and social justice.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in relevant fields such as social work, higher education, or public health.
  • Experience with anti-oppression practices and familiarity with campus support systems.
Other Requirements
  • Availability for 24/7 on-call rotation, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
