Formación

Turner & Townsend is engaged to support our clients with many complex projects, responsible for all aspects of cost management and project delivery. We are seeking Quantity Surveyors/Cost Managers to act as the day-to-day interface with our clients, driving projects to achieve excellent outcomes.

We are looking for Quantity Surveyors with experience in CSA and/or MEP Cost Management, particularly those who have worked on major construction projects in the Data Centers sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide estimates and cost planning, including producing and presenting the final cost plan.
  • Estimate at conceptual, programming, and detailed levels.
  • Assist in feasibility studies and prepare procurement reports.
  • Manage all aspects of procurement, including pre-qualification, bid analysis, bid reporting, and contractual documentation.
  • Participate in post-contract cost variances and change control processes, referring major changes to the line manager.
  • Manage cost checks and valuations on larger projects, ensuring timely and accurate processes.
  • Produce monthly post-contract cost reports and present findings to clients.
  • Contribute to value engineering, negotiate, and approve final accounts.
  • Maintain liaison with clients and other consultants at all project stages.
  • Provide leadership to the cost management team when necessary, ensuring all accountabilities are met.
  • Identify opportunities for new business with existing clients and report to the line manager, utilizing the marketing database.
  • Suggest improvements for cost management procedures, templates, and products, and refer ideas to the line manager.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in preparing cost estimates.
  • Experience in data centers and high-tech sectors is preferred.
  • Spanish language skills are advantageous.
  • Strong technical knowledge in all cost management areas: pre-contract, post-contract, and final account.
  • Good understanding of mechanical, process, electrical, and plumbing systems related to construction projects.
  • Understanding of civil, structural, and architectural aspects of construction.
  • Experience leading cost management on medium to large, complex construction projects.
  • Experience advising clients on value management, value engineering, and lifecycle costing.
  • Excellent presentation, verbal, written, and communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and work well in a team.
