Job Description:

The selected candidate will join the External & Digital Communications and Public Affairs team, part of the Communications and CSR Department.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the execution of Ferrovial’s External Communications strategy, with a particular focus on media relations.
  • Develop communication materials such as press releases, key messaging documents, Q&A documents, briefing dossiers, and speeches. Assist in preparing executives for interviews and public events (forums, panel discussions, award ceremonies), in both English and Spanish.
  • Respond to media inquiries and maintain regular contact with journalists covering the company.
  • Maintain and update the media contact database, including local, regional, national, international, and industry-specific outlets.
  • Assist in the preparation of daily media clippings and coverage reports.
  • Collaborate with other areas within the Communications and CSR Department, as well as with various functions and business units across Spain and internationally.
  • Support the organization of corporate events such as the Annual General Shareholders’ Meeting, project site visits, and press engagements, as well as the planning and execution of communication campaigns.
  • Manage the budget allocated to the area.

Requirements

  • Education: Degree in Journalism, Public Relations, or Advertising.
  • Languages: Proficiency in English (C2 level).
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years in similar roles, ideally within internationally oriented companies.
  • Competencies:
    • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
    • Ability to build and maintain professional relationships with journalists and media outlets.
    • Strong organizational skills and experience managing contact databases.
    • Proficiency in synthesizing information and preparing executive summaries and reports.
    • Advanced use of digital tools for media monitoring and clipping preparation.
    • Team-oriented mindset and ability to collaborate across departments.
    • Experience in planning and executing corporate events and media engagements.
    • Effective budget management.
    • Adaptability to multicultural and dynamic environments.
    • Proactive and autonomous approach to anticipating needs and resolving unforeseen issues.
    • Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
    • Proven track record in similar positions, preferably in companies with international presence.
