Formación

THE ROLE

At ALOHAS , we are passionate about pushing the boundaries of sneaker design. Our mission is to create innovative, high-quality footwear that resonates with consumers and defines trends in the industry.

We are seeking a Freelance Color & Material Sneaker Designer with a keen eye for detail, a deep understanding of sneaker aesthetics, and a passion for storytelling through materials. In this role, you will be responsible for bringing color and material narratives to life across our sneaker collections, working closely with our internal design and product teams to create premium, trend-forward strategies.

This is a freelance position offering flexibility and creative autonomy, ideal for a designer who thrives in a fast-paced, fashion-forward environment.

YOUR CHALLENGE

• Material & Color Innovation : Lead the process of material and color selection for our existing iconic sneaker styles with guidance from our Head of Design to innovate our icons and complete our seasonal Range Plan.
• Development Cycle : Autonomously prepare and update technical drawings, spec sheets, and design documentation for development and production and lead the development process from concept to final prototype.
• Trend Research & Innovation : Conduct research on sneaker trends, consumer behaviors, and competitors to support design inspiration and innovation strategy.
• Concept Development : Contribute to the creation of mood boards, material / color stories, sketches, and prototypes to visualize ideas.
• Team Collaboration : Work alongside other designers, product development, merchandising and sourcing teams to ensure the feasibility and execution of designs.

YOU WILL ROCK AT THIS ROLE IF YOU...

• Have 3+ years of experience in color and material design, preferably within the sneaker industry.
• Have a strong portfolio showcasing product innovation, with a focus on colors and materials in the sneaker category.
• Are proficient in tools such as Adobe Creative Suite , and ideally familiar with 3D visualization tools and rendering software.
• Have excellent knowledge of material properties , sustainable options, and current industry innovations.
• Are an expert in color theory , textile selection, and trend interpretation.
• Can work independently and meet deadlines while collaborating remotely with cross‑functional teams.
• Bring a strong sense of style, curiosity, and storytelling to everything you do.
• Are passionate about sneaker culture, fashion, and materials innovation .
