Cloud Network SME / Architect

Location : Remote from Spain (Spanish employment contract)

We are looking for a highly skilled Cloud Network SME / Architect to lead the evolution of our AWS-based cloud networking landscape. This role will focus on core AWS network engineering, ensuring performance, reliability, and security of multi-region cloud environments and the strategic enablement of next-generation networking capabilities.

The candidate should possess deep expertise in AWS Transit Gateway, Transit VPC, Firewalls, and AWS network design, ensuring seamless connectivity across AWS regions and sites.

Their most ambitious goal at the time is to introduce a range of Reduced-Risk Products (RRPs). The target audience is more than 1 billion of consumers around the globe. IT platform hosts 700+ applications.

Our teams are involved in the engineering of core platform components for best in class eCommerce, Digital Marketing and IoT solutions

The Platform is a set of services and internet applications that accelerate the development and delivery of software applications by taking care of common SDLC challenges. The Platform provides access and consumption for engineering teams to a set of services, technologies, practices for their development and for operating their application, ensure a set of compliance and best practices.

Requirements :

Technical Expertise :

• AWS Cloud : Extensive experience in AWS Cloud services
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC) : Skilled in using Terraform for infrastructure provisioning and management.
• Cloud Networking : Expertise in cloud networking technologies and solutions

Nice to have :

Service Mesh : Experience with service mesh frameworks (e.g., Istio, Linkerd)

Kubernetes : Exposure to Kubernetes NetworkPolicy

Observability : Design of SLOs / SLI's for network performance and reliability

Security : Experience in Zero Trust Networking (micro segmentation, identity-aware routing)

Qualifications :

Proven track record in cloud security architecture and advisory roles (10+ years).

Strong understanding of AWS services and cloud security best practices.

Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a collaborative environment.

Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified Security Specialty, etc.

Responsibilities :

Architecture Design : Develop and implement robust cloud security architectures tailored to the specific project needs

Advisory Services : Provide expert advice on cloud security best practices, network design, and connectivity solutions.

Management and Support : Oversee and contribute to the management and support of AWS Landing Zones, hybrid / multi-region networks, and firewalls, ensuring high availability and security.

Security Implementation : Architect, deploy and manage security measures to protect cloud infrastructure and data.
