Job Description

Deutsche Telekom Technik GmbH, a subsidiary of Telekom Deutschland GmbH, provides the nationwide technical infrastructure of Germany's largest fixed and mobile network operator. Approximately 19,000 employees at DT Technik are responsible for planning, design, and operations of technical facilities and systems. The company also implements network projects, operates network technology, and maintains the technical infrastructure.

Tribe Voice & Messaging is responsible for the design, development, planning, validation, and operation of all voice and messaging platforms within DT Technik’s fixed and mobile networks throughout their entire lifecycle. We provide innovative and reliable state-of-the-art services to our customers.

As Squad Advisor & Capacity, part of Tribe Voice & Messaging, you will drive onboarding, rollout, and migration of key voice and messaging applications onto a unified internal Telekom Kubernetes cloud, integrating previously separate mobile and landline systems into a convergent cloud-native solution with automation at each level of our stack. Your daily work will involve providing guidance, assisting application teams, and being responsible for internal team applications and automation solutions.

Qualifications

Advisors help, share experience, and guide project and technical teams to manage the transition to cloud infrastructure, achieving our cloudification goals efficiently:

• Provide guidance and best practices for onboarding, rollout, and migration phases
• Coach and advise on operation enabling activities for cloud projects
• Continuously analyze and improve processes, implementing necessary measures
• Perform error analysis, troubleshooting, performance analysis, and optimization
• Manage project repositories and applications within K8S clusters
• Support projects to reach final acceptance milestones
• Ensure operational readiness with project leads
• Focus on quality in operational tasks and mindset
• Conduct technical drills with teams

Must Have Skills

• Strong knowledge of Linux and networking
• Experience with cloud-native applications and Kubernetes (K8s)
• Ability to develop and document complex technical concepts and requirements
• Enjoy learning new technical concepts and sharing knowledge
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to clearly articulate technical and process concepts
• Technical project steering abilities
• Coordination skills for cross-functional teams during transitions
• Incident, change, and problem management skills
• Familiarity with monitoring tools and performance analysis
• English proficiency at C1 level; German B1 is advantageous

You are accustomed to working in distributed teams using tools like JIRA, Confluence, SharePoint, Teams, etc.

The position supports the Cloud Booster Program, a key initiative impacting multiple platforms within Tribe T-VM. The role acts as an advisor for technical onboarding, rollout, and migration activities into our internal Kubernetes cloud.
