About the Role : The Everest benefits team is seeking a seasoned Benefits Manager to join on a contract basis for 6 months. This role provides management of all employee benefits for Continental Europe and Latin America, with support to managers, employees, and prospective candidates. The role collaborates with the Senior Benefits Manager on international benefits alignment and contributes to the execution of the Group people strategy and global benefits strategy across international Reinsurance and Insurance business lines.

Role & Responsibilities (include but not limited to) :

  • Manage risks in Benefits (Life & Disability).
  • Oversee retirement arrangements.
  • Administer tax-efficient schemes (e.g., Meal Vouchers, Bike schemes).
  • Manage Medical Insurance provisions.
  • Coordinate country-specific allowances and local choice schemes.
  • Collaborate with local Brokerage services and local branch assistance; escalate to Payroll Manager and HRBPs as required.
  • Approve invoices and manage benefit renewals with the support of the Benefit Coordinator.
  • Work with local brokerage, branch assistance, and HR teams on benefits implementation for new branches in Europe and/or Latin America.
  • Prepare benefits overviews, benchmarking, and respond to benefit surveys.
  • Stay updated on changes to benefits laws in supported countries and provide actionable deliverables.
  • Support local management with absence plans, coordinating leaves with local brokers, HR teams, ensuring timely insurance claims, and managing the plan in the Workday system.

Communications :

  • Collaborate with the global benefits team and local HR teams, updating intranet, writing scheme summaries and overview documents to communicate employee Benefits for Continental Europe and Latin America.
  • Oversee benefit summaries for each location and promote benefits internally.

Data Management :

  • Collaborate with the Workday team to build and maintain the benefits platform; support the Benefit Coordinator in implementation.
  • Ensure data confidentiality and correct security protocols when handling confidential information.
  • Apply tax rules to employee benefits (e.g., salary sacrifice, taxable benefits).
  • Design and implement meaningful reporting for Benefits and Payroll; provide accurate data to 3rd party vendors as required.

Payroll :

  • Work with the Senior Payroll Manager and payroll vendors as SME for Central European and Latin American benefits.
  • Support timely transfer of accurate data files for monthly payroll processing.

Additional Responsibilities :

  • Backup for Senior Benefits Manager on international benefits outside Continental Europe and Latin America (UK&I, APAC).
  • Undertake projects to align benefits globally with the Everest Benefit Framework; streamline processes; utilize systems (Workday, Intranet, Technical Displays).
  • Manage projects independently and report progress to manager.
  • Collaborate with the International HR Team to provide subject matter expertise and tools to act as ambassadors for Employee Benefits.

Qualifications :

  • Proven track record in managing Central European and Latin American benefit plans with strong compliance focus; other international benefits experience is an advantage.
  • Fluent English required. Additional languages a plus.
  • Experience with HR systems (Workday beneficial).
