Job Description

Your Career

As an Associate Systems Engineer, you will join a cohort of recent technical college graduates for an intensive immersion into cybersecurity, Palo Alto Networks technologies, automation, and on-the-job learning. The program includes up to 12 months of formal technical instruction with hands-on labs, group and individual projects, technical study, and professional skills development.

During the program, you will be placed for up to 6 months with various Systems Engineering teams to learn how to support customers in the presales process. You will work alongside other SE teams to support critical customer work within the presales process, acting as a technical advisor in collaboration with sales and channel partners to ensure customer security.

Upon completing the program, you will have developed proven technical and professional skills, achieved multiple certifications, and rotated with senior SEs. The goal is to place you into a field SE role or other departments at Palo Alto Networks based on business needs. Throughout, you will work with cybersecurity experts to develop a deep understanding of cybersecurity products, integrations, and threats.

Our office-based employees are expected to be in the office four days per week, with one day working remotely, to facilitate collaboration and relationship building. These arrangements may evolve as we refine our policies.

Qualifications

  • Technical Bachelor’s/Master’s/MBA in Cybersecurity, Computer Engineering, IT Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
  • Up to 3 years of professional experience or military equivalent
  • Proficient in Spanish
  • Prior experience in cybersecurity or networking preferred
  • Basic scripting or coding skills in Python or Java
