How will you make an impact in this role?

The Acquisition & Onboarding Analyst is an analytical partner whose main responsibility is to provide analytical support and reporting for the local acquisition team as well as senior leadership, and the role would report to the Spain director of acquisition.

The role owns the acquisition investment optimization process, and leads the quarterly, monthly, weekly and daily Acquisition and Onboarding reporting packages. You will work with the existing stock reporting packages and work with the Amex analytical team in case new specific reporting is necessary. You will facilitate business investigations and conduct root‑cause analysis to address issues, and you’ll drive clear storytelling—combining accurate quantitative reporting with qualitative stakeholder commentary.

Success will be gauged by the quality and accuracy of the reporting, as well as the conclusions from analyzing such reports, and requires excellent relationship management with Product, Brand, Analytics, Legal, Compliance, and external agency partners to ensure that acquisition reporting align with our acquisition objectives.

Job Responsibilities
  • Lead E2E Investment Optimization: Own the end‑to‑end Acquisition Investment Optimization process by working with each channel owner and finance to submit on time and per guidelines.
  • Monthly and weekly leadership reporting packages to gauge performance of the team and ensure we are meeting our goals (NAA, CPA, Avg Spend, etc.).
  • Analytical Investigation & Root‑Cause Analysis: Detect performance anomalies, facilitate structured investigations, run drill‑downs, and complete root‑cause analysis with recommended corrective actions.
  • Subject‑Matter Expertise & Representation: Become the team SME on Amex reporting and represent the Spain acquisition team in Amex reporting forums.
  • Data Quality & Governance: Maintain metric definitions, report inventories; ensure accuracy and timely delivery of all outputs.
Preferred Job Qualifications
  • Proficiency in basic SQL, Microsoft Excel (advanced functions, pivot tables, scenario modeling) and PowerPoint (executive storytelling).
  • 2+ years in analytics, performance marketing, or a similar analytical planning role.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills; comfort presenting to senior leadership.
  • High ownership, ability to work independently, and skill in managing multiple projects in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Have a graduate degree in an analytical or engineering field (e.g., MSc, MBA, MFin, Data Science).
  • Experience investigating and conducting root‑cause analysis to understand issues.
  • Fluent in English and Spanish.
