• Programming, testing, and analysis of software components, primarily according to architectural specifications and/or in consultation with a Level 4 or Level 5 software developer
• Programming and testing of software components, partly according to design specifications
• Documentation of the software components for which you are responsible
• Integration of software subsystems from several software components, including in the target system
• Support with system integration
• Connection of the created models to the simulator's operating and monitoring system (HMI)
• Creation and initialization of automation and control models for platform systems in the field of ship operation and energy simulation using CAD-based tools
• Creation and initialization of complex process models for platform systems in the field of ship operation and energy simulation using CAD-based tools
• Technical guidance of Level 1, 2, and 3 software developers
• Identification, analysis, and definition of the implementation of complex and non-functional requirements (e.g., competing, contradictory) in software and their implementation
• Integration and commissioning of complex subsystems
• Participation in the analysis and verification of data provided by the customer for the respective process for assigned work packages
• Support in commissioning and acceptance tests for the subsystem for which you are responsible

• Several years of professional experience in software development
• Very good programming and design skills in an object-oriented programming language
• Very good technical English and Germanskills, both written and spoken
• Must-have:
• Master's degree in physics, electrical engineering, or comparable field
• Good analytical skills for technical systems as well as control systems and controls
• Good programming skills in a high-level language (such as C++, FORTRAN, or C#)
• Nice to have:
• Connection of the created models to the simulator's operating and monitoring system (HMI)
• Tools: MATLAB SIMULINK
• Willingness to travel worldwide
• Goal-oriented, independent, and systematic approach to work
• Ability to quickly and successfully familiarize yourself with new topics
