We're Hiring: Senior Grid Connection Engineer (PV & BESS)
A leading renewable energy developer is seeking an experienced Senior Engineer to join their dynamic team. This role is pivotal in advancing utility-scale solar and battery storage projects, ensuring seamless grid integration.
Location: Remote, Germany
Salary: Up to 90k + bonus
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and oversee the grid connection process for medium, high, and extra-high voltage systems.
Prepare comprehensive technical documentation, including circuit diagrams, short-circuit and load flow calculations, cable sizing, and protection concepts.
Design and plan medium, high, and extra-high voltage systems for and consumption plants.
Handle the plant certification process, including the preparation of commissioning declarations.
Provide project management and construction support for substations.
Review and evaluate planning documents for and storage facilities both domestically and internationally.
Communicate effectively with clients, grid operators, and internal teams.
Document project progress for both internal and external purposes.
Ideal Profile:
Degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, Environmental Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent technical qualification).
3–5 years of experience in planning and designing medium-voltage plant construction and grid connection projects.
Proficiency in planning and simulation software such as DIgSILENT PowerFactory, EPLAN, AutoCAD, or similar tools.
Fluent in German and proficient in English.
