The anticipated annual base pay range for this full-time position is $225,000-$250,000. Actual base pay will be determined based on various factors, including years of relevant experience, training, qualifications, and internal equity. The compensation package may also include an annual bonus target, subject to eligibility and other requirements. Position Overview: The Senior Director, Global Business Development is a self-sufficient sales leader motivated by driving new business. This role requires working well under pressure and holding oneself accountable to ensure goals are achieved by driving top-line revenue.
Responsibilities include:
- Managing the global, strategic, and professional development of the Risk Management / GRC business development function, reporting to the GRC CEO.
- Implementing and executing go-to-market strategies for existing and new client relationships.
- Leading and managing the GRC BD team in new sales, revenue growth, and retention efforts.
- Contributing to innovation and product development to grow the GRC business.
- Monitoring market trends and identifying potential sales opportunities.
- Collaborating with strategic partners and internal teams to drive new projects and initiatives.
- Overseeing global business development resources and implementing staff/infrastructure flexibility measures.
- Developing marketing strategies and supporting sales functions.
- Coordinating cross-regional tenders.
- Building and maintaining client relationships, focusing on new business development.
- Mentoring team members for growth and developing a sustainable personnel pipeline.
- Expediting opportunities to closure and developing tailored proposals.
- Leveraging market knowledge to identify unique selling propositions and differentiators.
- Driving strategic account penetration, including supporting insurance channels and key account programs.
- Collaborating with marketing to generate leads and improve conversion rates.
- Maintaining a robust sales pipeline to meet booking targets.
- Partnering with other TÜV SÜD divisions to promote a unified approach.
- Traveling as needed within the U.S. and internationally.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical area; Master’s or MBA preferred.
- 20+ years of industry-related experience and knowledge.
- Proven contribution to the Highly Protected Risk (HPR) Property Risk Management industry, including customer engagement and revenue generation.
- Extensive business development experience with demonstrated success.
- Ability to translate customer needs into actionable stories and acceptance criteria.
- Experience working directly with customers and thought leaders.
